The media world revolves around the use of images to grab one’s attention and hold it for that mere second, in order to succeed in setting it in the minds of those who capture a glimpse, and gain fame through its propelled popularity. These images appear in different forms of media every day, with posters and videos mainly flooding the visual aspect. The purpose behind the images varies among the many topics that have arisen today.
Several topics have become popular awareness projects through the use of t-shirt and poster designs. Breast care awareness is one of the biggest with the well-known pink ribbon as its logo. HIV and Aids has become another well-known topic, as the spread and existence of the disease throughout the world has a continually rising death rate. Recycling is another leading image in the world that seeks to put an end to the excessive waste that is dumped daily in overflowing landfills.
These examples of causes use images, such as a logo or mixed media, in an effective way by grabbing the public’s attention and making them aware of the issues that exist in today’s time. Images that prove to be ineffective usually do not appeal to the public due to either their lack of significance or simple lack of public support. The knowledge of an issue, along with the support from a large group, will have a positive impact due to the successful use of an image.
